What to expect on your first visit?

On your first appointment with one of our Psychologists, you or your clients will ask you about any concerns you would like to work on as your goals. Together or with a parent or guardian, you will then go through your history and why you have come to see a Psychologist. This session lasts for 60 mins in clinic, 45 minutes face to face and 15 minutes documentation and helps to provide a clear picture of what areas your child needs assistance with.

Our therapists tailor each appointment to their client’s needs; this initial appointment may suggest a variety of formal and /or informal assessments and clinical observations.

Following your assessment and diagnosis, our Psychologists will prepare a report if required, and a comprehensive therapy programme will be tailored for your needs and goals.

After an assessment is completed, a report including the assessment findings and their impacts on yourself or a loved one will be complied.

The assessment report will include recommendations and strategies that can be put into place in the person’s environment (school, home or work for example). Our therapists will also include recommendations for required therapeutic interventions.

Our therapists will discuss the findings of the report with you, and collaborate on your therapy goals.
