Your role:

  • Author high-quality positive behaviour support plans and train implementing providers and key stakeholders in positive behaviour support strategies
  • Deliver evidence-based behavioural, developmental and cognitive therapy services
  • Be client-centred, collaborative, creative and inclusive
  • Carefully plan interventions and evaluate outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with other team members
  • Maintain client records as required by the NDIS and other funding streams
  • Comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct and Professional Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • Undertake organisational training and professional development
  • Participate in professional supervision

We are looking for Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our team. 

What you need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of positive behaviour support, plans, assessments and service delivery to a wide range of people with a variety of disabilities.

  • Has explicit knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support principles including functional behaviour assessment, intervention and service delivery practices and Restrictive Practice Authorisation processes.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation of behavioural support strategies and interventions with implementing providers

  • Experience in monitoring, review and evaluation of support strategies to ensure they are implemented correctly and consistently to improve the quality and effectiveness of behaviour

  • High level interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families and/or their support network and other stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentation skills.
