Paula. H

Paula is a Behaviour Support Practioner who feels great fulfilment through helping people live their best lives. Her experience includes working with children and families struggling with difficult experiences. To date, she has worked as a counsellor/educator and group facilitator across children’s and adult programs with Family and Relationship Centres.

Paula’s experience includes delivering programs such as Circle of Security (COS) and The post separation parenting program (POP). In addition, Children’s programs, “Poppers, Popstars” and “Seasons for Change” are among the other programs she has
worked on. Paula draws on the many models used within these programs as a basis for her therapeutic practices.
Paula’s subjects of interest include “Attachment and the Neurobiology of trauma”. The research into “Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)” is of particular interest to her. Paula feels a sense of achievement through creating awareness regarding childhood experiences and the relationship between physical, emotional and cognitive outcomes
later in life.

Paula uses a strengths-based, client-centred approach. She integrates a range of therapeutic techniques and methods to assist her clients in reaching their full potential. Her main goal is to assist clients in identifying their underlying strengths and utilising those strengths in achieving their stated goals.

Paulas hobbies include climbing and hiking with her family and friendly chocolate Labrador, Charlie:)
