Jason

Jason is a Provisionally Registered Psychologist and Behaviour Support Practitioner and is currently completing an internship to gain full registration. He has completed a Post-Graduate Diploma of Psychology at the Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resource Management. Jason brings his experience in occupational rehabilitation and over 10 years of experience working in the disability sector in education and community settings with children, adolescents, and young adults.

Jason is passionate about using a person-centred approach that focuses on supporting and collaborating with clients to achieve meaningful goals that promote health and wellbeing. Through his experience working in the disability sector across Australia and England, Jason has acquired a wide range of skills working with clients with developmental, learning, and psychosocial disabilities. Jason understands the importance of using a pragmatic approach when working with clients and families and the importance of collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team. He uses evidence-based interventions such as Positive Behaviour Support, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Jason has a keen interest in working with ‘challenging behaviour’ and is a NDIS registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. Jason enjoys working with clients from all backgrounds and has an open, friendly, and easy-going approach.

Jason is a big sports fan who enjoys surfing, playing tennis, and religiously supporting his struggling football team. Most of all, Jason enjoys spending time with his family and four-legged best mate.
